Sister Pyšňáková loves her mission president and his wife.

A few days before Christmas, carp becomes available in Prague so that families can prepare the traditional dish of carp for the Christmas meal. These carp, sold from barrels, will be purchased alive. Some families keep carp in the bathtub until they are ready to kill and prepare the fish.

Week 43 It's Christmas time!

Sister Barney and I along with a small group of missionaries were traveling to different parts of the mission performing Christmas concerts for different branches.

President and Sister Irwin bought the sisters in the group green shawls and the elders red ties.

Week 42 Vanoce vanoce prichazeji zpivejme pratele! [note: Folks, Christmas is coming, let us sing!]

Well, it's very cold, very very cold! But it's magical and a very magical time of year. Today we walked around the Christmas markets on Staromestka [note: Old Town Square] for a few hours, just soaking it all in. But really, even with the huge Christmas trees, the food and smells and lights, the most magical thing of all is the message of Christ and His birth. And not just His birth really, but His life and His death and the fact that He lives again! Let us remember to keep Him in our hearts!
